A little about us: (you could also call this an FAQ page)

 

We are primarily an original music group from Charleston, South Carolina.  What does that mean?  That means we write, compose, record, and perform our own original music... and we live, work, and play in and around the city of Charleston, SC.  However, we try not to hold so much pretense that it puts us above playing other artist's more "well known" songs for special or private events, parties, weddings, or what some folks in the biz call "cover gigs."  Get ready though cuz you're gonna hear some of our songs too.  Heck, you might even like our songs MORE!

WHAT do we sound like?  We call it Island Gypsy Blues Rock.  We've got some flavors of Delta Blues, Hawaiian instrumentation, Gypsy Jazz, Folk, and Rock and Roll music all rolling around in there together that work to influence our "sound."

 

WHO do you sound like?  Well, all of us "artists" like to think we are some unique one-of-a-kind special flower but let's be honest, everybody sounds like somebody right!?  Some have said that Dave and Justin's voices remind them of Leon Russell and/or Levon Helm.  The Charleston City Paper has described our sound as ranging from "the Allman Brothers, to wide-eyed Americana in the tradition of The Band and the indie-tinged folk-rock of groups like Band of Horses and Gomez."   

 

Who are your INFLUENCES?  Some artists that we look up to and are inspired by are:  Robert Johnson, Santo and Johnny, The Band, Ry Cooder, The Allman Brothers, Fleetwood Mac (early Fleetwood Mac though - when Peter Green was in the band), Tom Waits, Tom Petty, Howlin' Wolf, Led Zeppelin, Rufus Wainwright, Ryan Adams, The Beatles, and a little tingle of The Grateful Dead.

 

Are you guys ANY GOOD?  Well, we like to think that we are a pretty "good band," and our parents think we're GREAT!  But don't take our word for it.  To read about what some other, more unbiased people think of us go HERE, HERE, and HERE.
